We've started uploading content to SmarterHotels, although this is under the SmarterNights brand for the moment. A logo will be sorted out soon enough, but our web guys are understandably doing other things at this time on a Saturday!

At this very second, SmarterHotels is just the shell of a directory. Details of our favorite hotels, guest houses, country retreats and exotic island getaways will be added until the end of this year. Early in 2009 the Smarter look and feel will be applied to the website, mimicing that of SmarterHousing. You will be able to browse multiple images, floorplans and virtual tours for our guest accommodation.

The first pages to be populated are, of course, those for England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. However, Dubai will follow soon after - details for the Burj Al Arab are already online!

OK, so the concept actually applies to any CD or DVD based digital media, which makes it a little more exciting that we're almost in a position to launch our revolutionary rental service.

For the first time in the UK, you will be able to rent films, music or games (including Playstation 3 and X-Box 360) and won't need to return them,

SmarterNights have a unique product which limits the time this type of disc can function - between 1 day and 7 days to allow different rental options.

We know this is going to be huge and the amount of discs being thrown away could be significant, so we have included many incentives to encourage users to return and/or recycle the discs to avoid any damage to the environment.

The service will go live in the coming months across many well known national chains and in our own hotel and restaurant networks, DeliveryDan and SmarterHotels.

What's it all about?

Drag and drop technology makes SmarterNights.com the easiest way to plan a night at home or out on the town.

Calling upon two other 'Smarter' companies, SmarterHotels and DeliveryDan, and bringing in new functionality, users of the service will be able to: order food, beverages and DVDs for home delivery (with the option to place advance orders); make travel arrangements with taxi, mini-bus, coach and limousine companies; book tables or tickets (including cinemas and nightclubs); and arrange a place to crash if required.

With SmarterHotels and DeliveryDan launching in Spring (09) and Summer (09) respectively, you can be sure SmarterNights will follow soon after.
